Hey all... loving TCoS and want to upgrade my computer to play it better.

I'm currently running:

2.4ghz AMD 1mb cache CPU (single core)
2gb DDR RAM
ATI 4870 512mb GPU (single core)
Creative X-FI Sound
200gb 7200RPM HD
WinXP SP3

The game runs quite fine when im out in the world, questing or whatever; i get anywhere from 40-60 FPS running the game on normal-high settings with view distance at half and shadows disabled - 1680x1050 resolution on a 22" LCD. but in Hawksmouth and other city areas... my FPS drops to around 15-20. i really love the graphics of the gameworld... the style of the buildings, trees, characters, etc. and i want to make the game look as good as the designers intended so please help me with upgrade ideas.

I know my Videocard is the most up-to-date component of my system so id like to build around it. im planning on jumping to a AMD AM3 chipset with a quad core PhenomII 955BE CPU. illl pair that with 2gb of DDR3 as im still only gonna run WinXP - this is mostly a cost cutting decision. so im wondering what other people are running and what performance i can expect if i run the game on max settings. i'm assuming my single core CPU is bottlenecking my videocard and hoping that the quad-core Phenom II will feed my ATI 4870 fast enough to run the game on max... what you guys think? should i add another 4870 and run in Crossfire as well?
